How far in advance should I book my session?
We recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks in advance to ensure availability.
How do I book a session?
Click “Schedule” in the site menu, or visit https://gvgtstudio.pixieset.com/booking/.
Do you require a retainer?
Yes. A $100 nonrefundable retainer is due at booking. The remaining balance is invoiced one hour before the session and may be paid online or in cash at the session.
Can family members be included in the photos?
Full Newborn Sessions may include parent and sibling portraits. Full Children Sessions may include parent and sibling portraits on the solid-color backdrop. Wrapped Newborn Sessions do not include parent or sibling portraits.
Where is the studio located?
23780 Harper Ave Ste A, St. Clair Shores, MI 48080. Please enter through the back door.
How long does it take to get our photos delivered?
Watermarked proofs are delivered within 72 hours of the session, and final edited images are delivered within 10 business days after selection.
What’s your cancellation or reschedule policy?
Sessions may be rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice. The retainer is nonrefundable and may be transferred one time only to a new date, subject to availability.
What if I’m running late?
We understand that pregnancy and life with children can be unpredictable. Please arrive on time; late arrival will reduce the available shooting time, and the session cannot be extended.
When is the best time to schedule a newborn photo session?
Newborn sessions are best scheduled when baby is 5–14 days old. Full Newborn Sessions may be completed up to 3 months old with modifications, while Wrapped Newborn Sessions may be completed up to 8 weeks old. You may reserve during pregnancy.
When is the best time to schedule a maternity photoshoot?
Maternity sessions are best scheduled between 28 and 32 weeks of pregnancy. This timeframe allows for a prominent baby bump while minimizing later-pregnancy discomfort.
Can I share my ideas or preferences with you?
Absolutely. Text inspiration images to 586-241-2062 and share your preferred colors, styling ideas, and comfort needs. References guide the planning process, while GVGT Studio retains creative direction over posing, lighting, and editing.
